We are happy to say we have successfully built a new set of benchmark utilities for testing
the Free Pascal Compiler binaires across each operating system. We have also started posting
our findings in the research section (Optimized Programming), were we disclose techniques
that new programmers have never been taught, along with results of random experiments.
By early September we will start evaluating theories like, when is it better to use an SQL
server versus your own homegrown database server (a.k.a internal database connectivity). We
also plan on researching the differences between direct database calls versus using the
TDataSet structure Borland introduced in 1995 (that people still use to this date).
Lastly, please sign-up in the message area for your personal account, and give us feedback.
